Tiny and vertical, built around a single street that was once a canal. No beach. You swim off the rocks and the old ramp, and the evening light on the houses is the shot the whole coast is famous for, best from the Punta Bonfiglio point.
Swim off the rocks at the harbor, walk out to Punta Bonfiglio at sunset, and taste Sciacchetrà where it’s made.
Every winter since 1976, a retired railwayman named Mario Andreoli has lit a Nativity scene across the whole hillside above town: thousands of bulbs, the largest illuminated presepe in the world. It glows from December into February.
