Your Bridge to Italy

Your privacy

You’re putting your notes, your photos, and the cities you love into this app. This is what happens to them, in plain terms.

Your account is yours.

Your journal, your photos, your saved cities and files are tied to your account. No other member can see them.

Your password.

You set one, and it’s encrypted before it’s stored. We can’t read it, and we’ll never ask you for it. Forget it and you reset it — you don’t get the old one back, because no one here has it.

Your card.

It never reaches us. Checkout runs through Paddle, our payment company. Your card details go straight to them and never touch our servers. We don’t see the number, and we don’t store it.

Your notes and photos.

Most apps skip this part. Your writing and your pictures are stored so you can open them on any device, which means they’re not locked away where even we can’t reach them. What we do with that access is what matters: we don’t read your journal. We open your data to keep the app running, or when you ask us for help, and that’s all. We don’t sell it, and we don’t use it to sell you anything.

Emails you forward.

When you forward a booking email to Bridge, Postmark receives it for us and keeps a copy for 45 days. We save the email in your Files. To make a booking card, we send its text to Anthropic, the company behind Claude, which picks out the booking details. We send only the text, never attachments or pictures. Anthropic doesn’t train its models on it and deletes it within 30 days, unless the law or its usage rules require keeping it longer. If you’d rather skip all that, add your papers to Files yourself. You won’t get a card, and neither Postmark nor Anthropic sees them.

The translator.

What you type into the translator goes to DeepL, a translation service, to be turned into Italian. Only those words go, nothing else from your account.

Your calendar.

If you add your trips to your calendar, Bridge makes a private link for it. Anyone who has that link can see your trip names and dates and the plans you’ve given a time, but never your confirmation codes or addresses. Calendars can be shared, so share yours with care. If a link gets out, tap New link in your account and the old one stops working at once.

Where it lives.

Everything sits in a secure cloud account, protected in transit and at rest. The app on your phone or laptop is the window to it, not the vault. Nothing important lives on the device, so losing your phone doesn’t lose your trip.

Leaving.

Ask us to delete your account and everything in it, and it’s gone.
